We at GenIgnite are all about parents. We believe you are the best mentor, discipler, and role model your child could ever have. We exist not to replace you, but to aid you in raising up your son or daughter. Our goal is to partner with you in the development of your child’s faith, doing our best to ensure that they walk in God’s best for their life.
QUESTION 1
I'M NEW HERE, WHEN DOES YOUTH GROUP MEET EXACTLY?
01.GenIgnite is not a traditional youth group. We do not meet on Sunday nights in a corporate setting.
02.GenIgnite is made up of dozens of small groups that meet all over the city on various days of the week. The focus of these groups is discipleship.
03.We come together for large-scale rallies approximately every 6 weeks.
04.We encourage all students to attend worship service weekly with their family.
05.We believe a close relationship with a trained mentor and like-minded peers is a much better catalyst for spiritual growth than sitting through an extra worship service. It’s our opinion that true life change happens through relationships in small groups.
QUESTION 2
WHY SHOULD MY CHILD BE INVOLVED IN GENIGNITE?
01.Current statistics show that only 20% of Christian teens continue in their faith in their 20s. We believe part of this is because of a lack of solid mentorship relationships with young adults who are passionately pursuing God themselves. In GenIgnite, we connect your child with a trained, accountable mentor whose purpose is to help connect your child to Christ in every area of their life.
02.Connect to like-minded peers
03.In order to drive home truths they learn at home, on Sunday mornings and in their small groups
04.Help them make wise decisions in everyday life. Teenagers today are exposed to more things at an early age than any previous generation so we feel it’s critical for them to be connected to an Ignite group leader who can help them navigate through it all and walk in God’s best for them.
